St. Mariam Polytechnic College was established by Sri.G.Thampy Kutty, The founder chairman under the aegies of Ammunikutty Educational and charitable Trust. The Trust is established and developed with the noble aim to import Technical Education to the exploited society children's.

With an objective to provide quality education in Technical studies. St. Mariam Polytechnic College is affiliated to the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Tamil Nadu and approved by A.I.C.T.E New Delhi. It offers Eight courses headed by Principal and Synchronized by HOD's, to administer, develop and put in order the academic programmers.

The College Campus is located near the "Spa of the south" Courtallam surrounded by Western Ghats in a calm and greenish environment. The Institution is located on the Tirunelveli Tenkasi Highway. St. Mariam Polytechnic College caters its students with the state of the art modern infrastructure & Equipments as Per A.I.C.T.E/DOTE Guidelines. Each and every student's progress will be intimated to the parents every month. Student's weakness in curriculum will be identified and rectified with the help of mentors. For every 20 students a mentor is nominated to keep the track of academic caliber since their inception in this campus.
